Como and Pickton Communities! Don't forget that our board election is May 6th from 7:00 to 7:00 in the art room at the front of the school. Signs will direct you to the location. Attention Athletic Boosters! The Como-Pickton Athletic Booster Meeting is being moved from Wednesday to Thursday the 26th at 5:30. We did not want to conflict with our Softball Playoff games scheduled for Wednesday. If you are interested in joining, this would be an appropriate time to attend. Eagle Baseball Fans! Tonight is senior night for your Varsity Eagles baseball team. Senior night activities will start around 5:45. Game time is schedule for 6:30. Let’s pack the stands and get behind these athletes. Saturday (4/22/23) we will be finishing our game against Sulphur Bluff. We will play in Sulphur Bluff starting at 11. The game will resume where we were when it got cancelled.

Eagle Pride Alert! The Lady Eagles Softball team is your UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMPIONS for the third straight year in a row!!! They played Saltillo today and run ruled them 15-0. Mattison Buster threw her third perfect game of the season! Everyone got on base and everyone scored tonight! This is the longest district winning streak in Como Pickton history with a total district record of 36-0! Tonight was senior night, and we honored our two seniors Mattison Buster and Lauren Lewellen! It has been an honor to watch them play these last four years. In their four years playing, they had a total record of 109 wins and 14 losses ! Next is playoffs! When we find out who they play and where they play we will post it immediately! Cheer these girls on as they make their way through playoffs! Ranked #2 in state! Eagle Parents of Athletes! The Como-Pickton Athletic Booster Club will be holding a meeting next Wednesday, April 26th at 5:30 at the school board conference room. This is an appropriate time for anyone interested in joining to attend. We hope to see you there.

Como and Pickton communities! We are auctioning off a few items that we no longer need. If you want to bid on these items, place your bids in a regular sealed envelope and bring them to the administration building during normal school hours. Each bid will need to contain: Your name, phone number, address, description of what you are bidding on, and the monetary bid you are placing for the item. The deadline to bid is Thursday, May 4th at 10:00 am. Sealed bids will be opened at 11:00 am that same day in the administration office. Winning bidders are responsible for removal of items by Friday, May 12th at noon. The winning bidder of the carport will need to be prepared to disassemble the carport as well as its removal. To see the items in person before bidding, feel free to contact Jason Blanchard or Dr. Bower to schedule a time at 903-488-3671.

ATTENTION DRIVERS ED STUDENTS! Classroom portion of driver's Ed will meet Wednesday, April 19 @ 6:30-8:30 in the Como Pickton HS Library, students must be at least 14 1/2 to attend. Cost for the classroom portion is $105. Upon completion of the course, the student will receive an insurance discount form. Contact Curt Hale at 9033485470 with any questions. Course will last approximately 3 1/2 weeks. Currently, classes will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights but schedule is flexible.

Eagle Plant Lovers! Come see us Thursday, April 20th 3:30-5:30 PM in the greenhouse for our annual fern sale! The greenhouse is located past the football field, behind the old baseball field.

Parents of Student Athletes - Christus Orthopedic and Sports Medicine is hosting free physicals on Saturday, April 29th at the Hopkins County Civic Center. This is free to all student-athletes who need a physical for the upcoming school year. Como-Pickton students have a timeslot scheduled for 9:40 am. Coach Bulls will be handing out forms for this next week, but we wanted to let you know now so that you can plan accordingly.

Eagle Pride Alert! The Lady Eagles softball team came out swinging tonight! They run ruled Detroit 15-0! Mattison Buster threw a perfect game and hit home run! Sarah Corley hit a walk off single in the bottom of the fourth to end the game! Lauren Lewellen went 3 for 3 at the plate! Their Next game is this Tuesday vs Saltillo at home starting @ 6:00! This is the last game of the district and is senior night! Come out and support the seniors and the team as they play their last game at home this year!
